Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join the Zhuang lab. The focus is on aging as a driver of cancer, investigating how aging reshapes the cell of origin and microenvironment to affect tumor initiation, progression, and treatment response.

You will work with murine and human genetics, pre-clinical models of lung cancer, 3D organoid culture, spatial and single-cell transcriptomics, and functional genomics to uncover principles for precision

Qualifications

• Recent PhD and/or MD with productive research.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team.
• Strong background in cancer, aging, stem cell biology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize murine and human genetics, pre-clinical models, organoid culture and transcriptomics to study aging in lung cancer.
• Contribute to the lab's research aims and publish findings in collaboration with team members.
