Job summary

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral research opportunity in the Department of Operational Sciences at AFIT. You will join a community of researchers studying adversarial interactions, multi-agent systems, and decision making under uncertainty relevant to security and defense.

Under mentorship, you will develop methodological innovations, theoretical work and applied statistical modeling.

Qualifications

• Candidate should hold or be pursuing a doctoral degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• PhD not strictly required at selection; all but dissertation status may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Join ORISE as a post-doctoral researcher focusing on adversarial interactions, multi-agent systems and decision making under uncertainty.
• Develop and apply methodological and theoretical models; engage in Bayesian statistics, optimization and data analysis.
• Contribute to publications, seminars and mentoring within the research group.
