The Wherry lab, in the Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics, has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to join a CRI-funded research project. This position is part of a larger CRI Initiative to establish a data resource that will enable data-driven innovation in immunotherapy and address the translational gap between preclinical models and clinical trials. This Immunotherapy Altas will incorporate comprehensive immune landscapes across commonly used mouse models as well as how these landscapes are altered when immunotherapy perturbations are applied. The goal for this position is to contribute to the establishment of this resource and to use it to address data-driven hypotheses that are generated based on analyses of this resource.
The postdoctoral fellow will lead this project in the Wherry lab and be instrumental in integrating similar data across two additional CRI-Immunotherapy Atlas labs. Experimental approaches to address the tumor-immune microenvironment will include flow cytometry, scRNA (+TCR)-seq, proteomics, and spatial analysis.
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn how to master cutting-edge technologies, leverage large datasets, generate data-driven hypotheses, and become a strong collaborative scientific leader.
Successful candidates will have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree, experience in immunology and/or cancer biology, a strong record of productivity, and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
To apply, please submit:
(1) A curriculum vitae
(2) A cover letter summarizing research experience and career goals
(3) The contact information of three references
