Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks postdoctoral researchers to develop novel chemical separations for domestic critical materials production. You will collaborate with geologists, chemists, engineers, and data scientists to advance beneficiation and separations technologies for emerging resources.

A priority is given to candidates with strong organic or inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, or materials chemistry backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field completed by appointment start.
• Strong background in organic/inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry or materials chemistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research programs on novel chemical/electrochemical separations.
• Pursue funding by leading proposals and industry partnerships.
• Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings to sponsors and peers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
