Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking postdoctoral researchers to develop novel chemical separations for domestic critical materials production. You will collaborate with chemists, geologists, engineers, and computational scientists to advance beneficiation and separations technologies for unconventional domestic resources.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in chemistry and materials science, with a track record of publications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (must be completed by appointment).
• Strong background in organic/inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, or materials chemistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research programs focused on novel chemical and/or electrochemical separations.
• Actively pursue and secure funding by leading proposals and industry partnerships.
• Write peer-reviewed publications and technical reports; present at conferences and to sponsors.
• Other duties as assigned.
