Baylor College of Medicine invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to investigate molecular mechanisms of endogenous DNA damage in human cells and proteins that oppose these processes, with emphasis on translesion synthesis and DNA damage tolerance. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a related field and hands-on experience in molecular biology.
This role involves wet-lab work, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and presenting findings at group meetings and conferences.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The Postdoctoral Associate position will focus on molecular mechanisms by which endogenous, spontaneous DNA damage origniates in human cells, and human proteins that oppose those mechanisms and reduce somatic cell mutation rates. A background in human DNA damage tolerance, inclusing translesion systhesis mechanisms, is desired.
Baylor College of Medicine typically follows similar to the NIH stipulated stipend guidelines for Postdoctoral Associates.
