Qualifications

• PhD in nuclear engineering completed within the last 5 years.
• Understanding of physics of nuclear reactors with demonstrated R&D in the field.
• Experience with neutron transport and reactor analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform R&D in nuclear reactor analysis modeling and simulation (steady-state, depletion).
• Model conceptual advanced reactors and subsystems.
• Evaluate safeguards metrics during hypothetical misuse scenarios.
• Collaborate across divisions to support NNSA programs.
• Prepare and present periodic research reports.
• Comply with environment, safety, health, and quality requirements.
