Qualifications

• PhD required in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or equivalent.
• Strong background in x-ray spectroscopy, scattering, or microscopy.
• Ability to work independently in an experimental endstation.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrumentation and data analysis for micro-focus soft x-ray reflectometry.
• Perform soft X-ray reflectometry experiments at beamlines 4.0.2 and 7.0.1.1.
• Develop scalable data analysis pipelines and analyze experimental data in Python.
• Collaborate with colleagues on ML-assisted analysis of large multi-dimensional datasets.
• Publish work in peer-reviewed scientific literature and present at meetings.
• Contribute to a positive research culture and adhere to EH&S guidelines.
