Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in physics or related field required; expertise in coherent X-ray scattering or imaging, X-ray diffraction such as micro- or nano-diffraction.
• Hands-on experience at diffraction beamlines at synchrotron facilities.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to program in Python for experiments and data analysis.
• Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Ability to translate research findings into publications, reports and presentations.
• Motivation to pursue relevant topics and promote diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Support 8-ID and 28-ID beamlines at Argonne National Laboratory.
• Advance diffraction-based techniques leveraging X-ray coherence to study structure and dynamics.
