Mount Sinai's Bevacqua Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance transformative research in human diabetes and pancreatic islet biology. The role focuses on maturation mechanisms, genetic regulation, and β-cell regeneration, employing NGS, CRISPR screens, and in vivo genetic approaches.

The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record, be self-driven, and thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across North America and Europe.

Qualifications

• Recent PhD in Cellular Biology, Diabetes, Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics or related field.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and high-throughput methods preferred.
• Experience in cell culture and mice handling preferred.
• Strong verbal and written scientific communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design and perform research studies.
• Perform high-throughput data analysis.
• Prepare figures and manuscripts.
• Apply for external fellowship competition.
• Contribute to grant applications.
• Supervise and train graduate students.
