Job summary

University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Human Reproductive Biology to join a NIH HuBMAP-aligned program. The role focuses on cellular and molecular basis of implantation, endometrial regeneration, and gynecologic disease using primary human tissue and organoid models.

The successful candidate will lead experimental direction, collaborate across departments, and contribute to grants and translational aims.

Qualifications

PhD/MD or equivalent in a related field.
First-author publications or manuscripts in progress.
Experience with mammalian tissue culture and primary cells.
Proficiency in nucleic acid/expression assays (RT-qPCR, protein assays).
Ability to design experiments, troubleshoot, and drive projects independently.
Initiative in collaborating and securing funding opportunities.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to women's health and translational research.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments using human reproductive tract tissue and organoid models.
Maintain and expand culture systems, including derivation and differentiation.
Perform RNA/DNA extraction, RT-qPCR, and protein assays; prepare samples for sequencing.
Conduct tissue imaging (IHC/IF) and multiplexed imaging.
Analyze imaging and sequencing data with collaborators; contribute to SOPs.
Coordinate tissue acquisition under IRB-approved protocols.
Present findings and contribute to manuscripts and grants.
