The Lea Lab at Vanderbilt University seeks a postdoctoral researcher to study the functional genomics of aging in rhesus macaques, contributing to an NIH U19 project aimed at understanding heterogeneity in aging.

The successful candidate will lead MPRA- based experiments to test DNA methylation effects on regulatory activity, integrate multi-tissue datasets, and collaborate with a broad, interdisciplinary team across geroscience and genomics.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. by start date.
• Experience in functional genomics desirable.
• Experience with MPRA or related high-throughput assays preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Lead the functional genomics component of the NIH U19 project.
• Apply MPRA techniques to identify methylation-dependent regulatory elements across tissues.
• Integrate MPRA results with multi-omics datasets and collaborate across consortium partners.
• Contribute to study design and data analysis using R/Python.
