Job summary

Scripps Research in La Jolla, CA, invites applications for a hybrid computational-experimental Postdoctoral Associate position in the Mravic Laboratory. The role focuses on computational design of membrane proteins and peptides that fold and function in cellular lipid membranes, developing software that encodes protein structure and interactions more accurately in the lipid environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a doctoral degree in a relevant field (cell biology, genetics, neurobiology, molecular biology, biophysics or related).
• A pending doctoral degree may be considered with PI and HR approval.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to publish and present work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop de novo design approaches for membrane proteins and peptides.
• Integrate computational design with experimental validation in cellular membranes.
• Collaborate with lab members and external partners to advance project goals.
