Texas A&M AgriLife Research at Temple is seeking a highly motivated scientist with expertise in crop modeling, remote sensing, and geospatial technologies.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team at Texas A&M AgriLife Research to support research focused on modeling crop growth and yield, water use, and carbon and nitrogen cycling under a range of agricultural management practices.

Qualifications

• PhD in Agronomy, Geosciences, Environmental sciences, or closely related discipline.
• Strong background in agricultural remote sensing.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Manage field experiments, coordinate ground-truth data collection, and operate crop models to improve prediction accuracy.
• Develop and apply machine learning and AI approaches for crop management and yield prediction.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication and contribute to grant proposals.
• Present research findings at scientific meetings and conferences.
