Job summary

Benioff Ocean Science Laboratory at UCSB seeks a postdoctoral researcher to develop tools for applying fisheries and economic modeling beyond national jurisdictions (ABNJ), with emphasis on large-scale MPA designation in ABNJ. Qualifications

• PhD completed (or near completion) in relevant field at time of application.
• Doctoral degree required at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of predictive fisheries and bioeconomic models for ABNJ and MPAs.
• Develop analytic tools and valuation approaches to support MPA planning in ABNJ.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate findings to government, academia, and NGOs.
