The University of Pennsylvania Radiology department is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to translate HyCUS ultrasound imaging from bench to bedside. The project focuses on hydralazine-augmented contrast ultrasound to improve early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma, leveraging a rat model and translational imaging approaches.

You will lead validation studies in an autochthonous rat model of HCC with fibrosis, define hydralazine dosing, and benchmark HyCUS against current surveillance

Qualifications

• PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacology, Imaging Sciences, or related field.
• Background in tumor biology, vascular physiology, or pharmacology.
• Hands-on experience with animal models and histology is required.
• Interest in contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging.
• Strong analytical and writing skills; ability to build an independent research trajectory.

Responsabilités
