Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Cormode lab in the Radiology Department. This NIH-funded project develops next-generation nanoparticle contrast agents for early detection of breast cancer and aims to translate silver telluride nanoparticles to clinical imaging in women with dense breasts.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Medical Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Imaging Sciences, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Development and optimization of nanoparticle synthesis methods.
• Characterization of nanoparticle formulations.
• Evaluation of imaging performance in x-ray imaging, dual-energy mammography, and CT.
• In vitro studies of biocompatibility and performance.
• In vivo imaging, biodistribution, and safety studies.
• Quantitative image analysis and pharmacokinetic modeling.
