Job summary

The Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC) at the University of New Mexico invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships in theoretical quantum information science (QIS). The initial term is two years, with possible extension to a third year, starting salary at least $74,200 per year plus benefits and a travel stipend.

Located in Albuquerque, NM, CQuIC collaborates with Sandia and LANL, Honeywell Quantum Solutions, and Q-SEnSE/NQI Centers.

Qualifications

• PhD in a discipline related to quantum information science completed by start date.
• Strong record of QIS research and potential for independent work.
• Ability to contribute to center-wide training and hub activities.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success.
• Ability to collaborate with CQuIC faculty and partners.

Responsibilities

• Pursue independent lines of QIS research in collaboration with CQuIC faculty.
• Interact with partners at Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Honeywell Quantum Solutions.
• Participate in hub activities and workshops.
• Contribute to diversity and student success initiatives.
