Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to study and advance precision oncology using one of the world’s largest clinicogenomic databases.

You will apply computational methods to real-world patient data to improve understanding of target cancers and advance precision medicine. The role involves independent research projects, collaboration with clinicians, molecular biologists, and data scientists, and access to extensive genomic and clinical data resources.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or related field OR PhD and/or MD with extensive experience in clinical & translational cancer research
• Demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments as evidenced by at least one first-author or co-first author key paper in a top journal
• Ability to design and execute studies bridging molecular and clinical cancer data
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment across departments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in R, Python or other analytical programming language OR desire to acquire analytical skills and link with clinical/translational domain knowledge

Postdoctoral Fellow This Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed to encourage and further the careers of postdoctoral fellows who are conducting cutting-edge clinical and genomic cancer research. Embedded within Tempus as an onsite researcher, the postdoctoral fellow will have direct access to over 300k de-identified samples with genomic and clinical data, a large organoid repository with genomic and pharmacological screening data, a huge computational environment, and mentorship and collaboration from clinicians, molecular biologists, and data scientists.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional postdoctoral fellow to study and advance precision oncology using one of the world's largest clinicogenomic databases. The successful candidate will apply computational methods to real-world patient data, comprising genomic, transcriptomic, histopathological, and/or clinical data, to improve our understanding of target cancers and advance the application of precision medicine to improve patient outcomes. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative computational biology group, and develop independent research projects tackling challenging problems in genomic-guided medicine.

CHI: $75,000-$100,000 NYC/SF: $90,000-$100,000 The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from California and may vary for other locations (Colorado, Illinois, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
