Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco seeks an independent Postdoctoral Fellow to join Aviv Regev's lab. You will develop and apply edge algorithms for single-cell genomics, spatial data, and perturbation screens with high-content molecular and imaging data, to decipher cellular and multicellular programs in health and disease.

The role is highly collaborative, offering opportunities to work across Research & Development and with cross-disciplinary teams; salary ranges are provided and relocation

Qualifications

PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar field.
Demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments with at least one first-author or co-first author paper in a top journal or conference (e.g., CS).
Technically rigorous, bold and creative.
Excited about biology and human disease and developing new computational algorithms.

Responsibilities

Conduct independent postdoctoral research applying edge algorithms to single-cell genomics, spatial data, and perturbation screens.
Collaborate across interdisciplinary groups to tackle cellular and tissue-level health and disease questions.
Present results clearly to computer scientists, biologists, and clinicians.
