Job summary

The Hoxworth Blood Center Division of Research at the University of Cincinnati is recruiting for a full-time Post Doctoral Fellow in the Wang laboratory. The role focuses on cell mechanobiology and enzymology, exploring biomechanical behaviors of blood, immune, and cancer cells using biosensors and microfluidics.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology or related field required.
• Experience with cell culture and biosensor/microfluidics is a plus.
• Strong writing and communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research experiments in cell mechanobiology focusing on blood cells.
• Gather and analyze data; develop new ideas for current research.
• Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts and presentations.
• Stay updated on developments in the field to maintain expertise.
• Lab maintenance and ordering supplies as needed.
• Seek career and research guidance from supervisor and faculty.
• Perform duties as needed by the department.
