Job summary
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine invites applications for a full-time Post Doc Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Jialiang Liang in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
The role advances cardiovascular science through cellular and stem cell biology, gene delivery, and molecular biology, with emphasis on regenerative medicine, cardiac fibrosis, and heart failure research. The successful candidate will design and execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to
Qualifications
- PhD in biomedical sciences, biology, or related field.
- Proven record of scientific productivity in cardiovascular research.
- Experience with mouse heart surgery or related techniques is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Conduct molecular biology and cell biology experiments including CRISPR and gene delivery.
- Establish cardiovascular disease and surgical mouse models and collect specimens.
- Analyze data and develop new ideas to advance current research.
- Prepare data summaries, reports, and manuscripts for publication.
- Assist in grant writing and manuscript preparation as needed.
- Mentor junior research staff and train new techniques.
- Stay updated on developments in the field and maintain safety compliance.
