Job summary

Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher to study exoplanet atmospheres using JWST observations. The role focuses on sub-Neptune and gas giant atmospheres with collaboration across STScI, JHU, and partner institutions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. at the start of the position in Planetary Science, Astronomy, Physics, or related field.
• Desirable: expertise in transiting exoplanet time series data analysis and/or atmospheric modeling/retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observational studies of exoplanet atmospheres using JWST data.
• Analyze and interpret JWST observations of sub-Neptune and gas giant exoplanets.
• Collaborate with STScI/JHU colleagues and external partners; publish results.
• Potential for independent research or new projects during the appointment.
