Job summary

The Nakamura Laboratory at Cincinnati Children’s is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join an NIH R01 project examining how obesity-associated metabolic stress alters liver-derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) and their RNA cargo, and whether these vesicles reprogram macrophage inflammatory responses in sepsis. This interdisciplinary role spans Endocrinology and Critical Care Medicine.

The ideal candidate will bring a recent PhD/MD, strong publication record, and expertise

Qualifications

• PhD/MD or equivalent required.
• Experience in immunology, inflammation, EV/exRNA, or metabolism.
• Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry, biochemistry, microscopy, or omics analyses.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform laboratory experiments and analyze data.
• Develop independent scientific skills and project planning.
• Discuss insights with Faculty and provide recommendations and analysis.
