Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks outstanding postdoctoral candidates to research advanced scintillator manufacturing, testing, and imaging camera diagnostics for x-ray and proton radiography. The successful candidate will join a large team of engineers, technologists, technicians, and scientists to perform experiments and publish results to the international community.

Requirements include a PhD in experimental physics or related field and the ability to obtain a Q clearance.

Qualifications

• PhD in experimental physics or related field is required.
• Strong background in experimental nuclear/particle physics and related areas is desired.
• Evidence of good communication skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced scintillator and imaging detector systems for high-resolution and short decay time scintillators.
• Analyze and interpret dynamic radiographic data, including development of quantitative image-analysis methods and model comparisons.
