Job summary

The soft matter and microfluidics group at Mayo Clinic, led by Dr. Connie Chang, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to develop innovative microfluidic technologies for molecular diagnostics and biomedical applications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in microfluidics and/or molecular biology, with an interest in integrating molecular biology workflows into miniaturized, automated microfluidic systems. Experience in drop-based (droplet) microfluidics is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in microfluidics and/or molecular biology.
• Interest in integrating workflows into miniaturized automated microfluidic systems.
• Familiarity with drop-based/droplet microfluidics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop microfluidic technologies for molecular diagnostics and biomedical applications.
• Advance drop-based microfluidics and perform molecular assays within droplets.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate sample prep, amplification, and detection on microfluidic platforms.
