Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate in the Kennedy lab to study clonal evolution and leukemic transformation in inherited bone marrow failure syndromes, with emphasis on Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS).

The project spans patient samples, iPSC models, CRISPR/base-editing screens, and single-cell genomics, with access to a clinical bone marrow failure program.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in a relevant field.
• First-author publication in a peer‑reviewed journal.
• Hands-on molecular and cell biology skills: mammalian culture, cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, Western blot.
• Comfort with quantitative data analysis and clear scientific writing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate clonal evolution and leukemic transformation in SDS.
• Work with primary patient samples and iPSC models.
• Perform CRISPR/base-editing screens and single-cell analyses.
• Collaborate with clinical bone marrow failure program staff.
