Job summary

The Philips Institute for Oral Health Research at the VCU School of Dentistry invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join Dr. Yue Sun's laboratory.

The role focuses on tumor immune responses, IFN-γ/STAT signaling, and cancer immunotherapy in mouse tumor models. Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree in cancer biology, immunology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in cancer immunology, cell signaling, mouse tumor models, or related areas is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Strong organization skills and ability to maintain regulatory documents for animal research.
• Commitment to a respectful, professional environment with diverse colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Investigate tumor immune responses and IFN-γ/STAT signaling.
• Study tumor antigen processing/presentation and responses to cancer immunotherapy.
• Apply molecular biology, biochemistry assays, fluorescence/confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, genetic manipulation, and mouse tumor models.
• Aim to publish first-author work and present at scientific meetings; pursue fellowship and career development.
