Job summary

Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) / Ponce Research Institute (PRI) is seeking a post‑doctoral fellow to study cancer psychoneuroimmunology and tumor immunity. The lab holds NIH funding and offers health insurance and PTO as part of benefits.

Ideal candidate has a PhD in cancer biology or related field, experience with mouse models, and proficiency in molecular techniques such as ELISA, qRT-PCR, WB, IHC, IF, and flow cytometry. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in cancer biology, cancer immunology, immunology, biomedical sciences or related fields; 2024 graduates invited.
• Familiar with mouse cancer models; willingness to handle mice and perform surgeries.
• Proficient in English writing and speaking; bilingual a plus.
• Based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a project integrating human and experimental approaches to study stress‑induced signaling in ovarian tumor immunity.
• Assess anti-inflammatory medications to mitigate effects on tumor progression.
• Identify mechanisms by which chronic stress impacts disease progression to inform cancer interception targets.
