Job summary

The Philips Institute for Oral Health Research at the VCU School of Dentistry seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join Dr. Yue Sun's lab.

The fellow will work on tumor immune responses, IFN-γ/STAT signaling, tumor antigen processing/presentation and response to cancer immunotherapy using molecular biology, microscopy, flow cytometry and mouse tumor models. You will develop an independent research direction, publish first-author work, and present at scientific meetings, with

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. in cancer biology, immunology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience in cancer immunology, cell signaling, mouse tumor models or related areas desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Strong organization skills and ability to maintain regulatory documents for animal research.

Responsibilities

• Perform research on tumor immune responses, IFN-γ/STAT signaling, and tumor antigen processing/presentation.
• Work with mouse tumor models and conduct biochemical assays and imaging.
• Publish first-author work; present findings at scientific meetings; seek fellowship grant mentorship.
