The successful candidate will join a research lab developing advanced imaging technologies to overcome depth–resolution limits in tissues, integrating hybrid ultrasound–optical imaging and computational reconstruction for deep-tissue imaging and tumor microenvironment characterization.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field with expertise in imaging, instrumentation, or nanomaterials.
• Strong background in optical imaging, ultrasound imaging, nanomaterials, or computational imaging.
• Demonstrated research productivity and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in biomedical imaging and bioengineering.
• Design and perform experiments involving optical imaging, ultrasound systems, and/or contrast agents.
• Develop computational models and reconstruction algorithms for imaging systems.
• Analyze data and prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Contribute to proposal development and interdisciplinary initiatives.
