Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers to join an NIH-funded program in artificial intelligence, medical imaging, computational pathology, and precision oncology. This full-time role focuses on developing novel AI methods and leveraging large-scale multimodal biomedical data.

Responsibilities include publishing in top journals, presenting at conferences, mentoring trainees, and establishing cross-institution collaborations.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI, Biomedical Engineering, CS, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Statistics, or closely related quantitative field.
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, or multimodal AI.
• Ability to conduct independent research while working effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel ML/DL methods for medical imaging, computational pathology and multimodal data.
• Design, implement and evaluate AI algorithms on radiology, pathology, genomic and clinical datasets.
• Publish research in biomedical and AI journals and conferences.
• Present findings at national and international meetings.
• Mentor graduate students, medical students and staff.
• Establish collaborations across disciplines and institutions.
