Post-Transcriptional Gene Expression Co-

Process and analyze functional genomics datasets and investigate post‑transcriptional gene expression regulation in Plant Biotechnology; work collaboratively with other scientists toward shared research goals and technical milestones; gain exposure to work in industry.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform bioinformatic analysis of functional genomics datasets;
  • Collaborate with leading scientists to execute, analyze, and interpret molecular biology experiments to investigate post‑transcriptional gene expression regulation;
  • Document research plans, methods, results, and data analyses;
  • Prepare and communicate reports and summaries in written and/or verbal form to key stakeholders and broad audiences across department group;
  • Follow established operational standards including best practices, safety protocols and compliance policies;
  • Prioritize and coordinate work within a larger team and across functional groups.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Enrolled within a university in the US, pursuing an MS or PhD degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Data Science, or related field;
  • Experience with gene expression data, hands‑on experience with analysis of large datasets, and familiarity with cloud computing;
  • Ability to design, plan, and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results;
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Passion and creativity for solving problems;
  • Ability to expand knowledge base through continuous learning.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $22.75 to $47.75. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits may include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc (if relevant). This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
