The Global Markets Post-Trade IT team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for Fixed Income, Equity/Securities Lending, and Credit Trading applications. Our responsibilities encompass both operational support (functional and technical) and project-related initiatives. The team engages in various phases of application development, including user needs assessment, analysis, design, implementation, delivery, support, and maintenance, all within an Agile framework.

We are seeking an Operations IT Business Analyst and Product Owner within specializing in the Fixed Income Booking and Post-Trade domain, particularly in areas such as Operations, Compliance, and Accounting. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of IT Business Analyst and Product Owner within an agile scrum team. He/She/They will provide business analysis on support to end users and manage projects ranging from small enhancements to large-scale initiatives, including business, regulatory, and operational evolutions, as well as strategic efforts aimed at modernizing legacy Back-Office applications. He/She/They will collaborate with Global Market Operation teams mainly, but also with Front Office and other support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis / Project Management:

  • Collaborate closely with user representatives (traders, operations personnel, accounting etc.) to gather and document business requirements.
  • Conduct and document impact and gap analyses.
  • Evaluate IT solutions to determine the best fit for business needs.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
  • Define and execute test scripts.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Engage in project scoping and planning, progress reporting, and the identification and management of issues and risks, ensuring effective communication throughout.

Proxy Product Owner:

  • Refine business requests before adding to the backlog
  • Build out and maintain the product backlog by writing epics and user stories
  • Set the priority of work for the team as per the Business-IT governance
  • Ensure compliance of deliverables with risks, security policies and architecture and technology standard
  • Engage in project scoping and planning, progress reporting, and the identification and management of issues and risks, ensuring effective communication throughout.

Functional Support / Maintenance:

  • Provide day-to-day support for Booking and Back Office applications, including booking, straight-through processing, settlement, clearing, reporting, and accounting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT business analysis within the finance industry.
  • Experience with Agile practices and methodologies, and acting as a product owner
  • Functional knowledge of Fixed Income activities from a operations perspective including booking, settlement, clearing, reporting and accounting for US broker dealer.
  • Familiarity with vendor systems (e.g., Summit/Calypso/Murex )
  • Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, coupled with the ability to propose effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this Vice President position will be between $145.000 - $180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
