Job summary

Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury is seeking an RN for our A2A Post Surgical unit. The role focuses on comprehensive post-operative care, monitoring for complications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The unit supports patients through recovery and end-of-life care when needed, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. RN licensure is required, and one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical and recovering patients and monitor progress.
• Assess patients, administer medications and treatments, manage pain, and monitor for post-operative complications.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans.
• Support patients and families throughout recovery, including hospice or end-of-life care.
