Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a day shift, full-time Inpatient Specialty Post-Surgical Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The role focuses on comprehensive patient care and collaboration with the healthcare team on a surgical medical unit.

The successful candidate will have an Associate's degree in nursing, current Oklahoma RN Licensure, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Current Oklahoma RN Licensure is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care activities per standards to deliver quality patient care.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the unit.
• Assess data reflecting patient status and identify age-specific needs.
• Develop, modify and implement care plans per Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
