Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a Soiled Sorter for our Skokie facility. You will sort soiled linens, assist with cart cleaning, and follow safety procedures to maintain efficient operations. Strong multitasking and reliability are essential to support hospital linen programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• The attendants on the belt perform the following tasks:
• Adhere to quality standards in terms of soil sorting and cart cleaning.
• Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items from the machine for long periods.
• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred:

• High School Education, GED, and formal education/training
• 1 to 2 years of experience in the health care, manufacturing or similarly situated industries.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting 50 lbs. or more, and stooping.
• Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire 10 hour shift.
