Job summary

Mass Appeal is seeking a Post Production Manager to coordinate the post workflow from inception through delivery across multiple facilities. You will work with Executive Producers, Producers, Editors, Audio, Design, and Colorists to keep projects on schedule and on budget.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Broadcast and OTT workflows, asset management, and proficiency with Avid, Adobe Creative Cloud, Edit Share, Pro Tools, Studio Suite, ScheduALL or Xytech Media Pulse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in post production management and coordination.
• Strong knowledge of broadcast/OTT workflows and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Exec Producers, Producers, Editors, and crew to book talent and manage content through post production across multiple facilities.
• Manage schedules per project and assign rooms and talent daily.
• Monitor budgets and timelines, flag delays or overages.
• Liaise with host platforms, obtain specs, and deliver projects on time and budget.
• Facilitate revisions and QC notes to the team.
• Create and maintain post production schedules for all bookings and rooms on site and offsite.
• Organize digital or tape master assets and deliveries and perform archival.

The Post Production Manager, reporting to the Senior Director, Post Production & Technology, is

responsible for coordinating all aspects of the post production process, from inception through

• Coordinate with Executive Producers, Producers, Editors, Assistant Editors, Audio Mixers, Designers, Animators, Colorists, Engineers to book talent and manage content through the post production process across multiple facilities
• Manage schedules per project, and communicates daily assignment of rooms and talent
• Monitor and ensure timeframe and budget are on track, and communicates delays or overages
• Liaise closely with host platforms, obtains technical specifications, and delivers multiple projects on time and on budget
• Facilitate revisions and QC notes to the team to adjust accordingly
• Create, monitor and update the post production schedule for all bookings and rooms both onsite and offsite
• Organize digital or tape master assets and supplemental deliveries and archive

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred; High School Diploma required

Experience:

• Intimate knowledge of the post production process, especially on Broadcast and OTT offline and online workflows
• Understanding of various types of media, file formats, and delivery specifications
• Experience managing television and film post processes
• Ability to work within a team to obtain goals
• Handle day to day client services and escalated to management when necessary
• Extremely organized and able to multitask on a variety of projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Avid, Adobe Creative Cloud, Edit Share and Pro Tools
• Proficiency in either Studio Suite, ScheaduALL, or Xytech Media Pulse

This position will primarily take place in an office setting.

Work Hours:

Working hours will vary according to the needs of the department, but the regular schedule of

the position follows Mass Appeal’s operating hours of 9:30 am-6:30 pm.
