Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Post Press Operator in Des Plaines, IL to help maintain high-quality standards and efficient post-press workflows.

The role involves operating manual and automated post-press equipment, ensuring accurate ink coverage, correct quantities, and compliant labeling and shipping requirements to meet customer expectations.

You will set up equipment, monitor supplies, and support production while following company policies to keep operations smooth.

Qualifications

H.S. diploma or GED required; 18+ and eligible to work in the USA.
At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Experience with printing processes and operations.
Knowledge of Lean principles.
Basic math and reading skills required.
Experience operating powered hand trucks.
Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Set up equipment and gather materials to support production.
Monitor stock and equipment during operations.
Check shipments, stamp and proofread orders, and generate labels.
Operate equipment productively to meet quality and accuracy.
Follow policies to maintain smooth production operations.
Use powered hand trucks for material handling as needed.
Inspect products to ensure they meet order specs and manifest orders.
Ensure proper labeling, sorting, engraving special orders, loading trucks, and compliance with postal standards.
