Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a general Bindery Operator to operate Advent machines, perform setup and packing, and ensure quality across multiple product types. The role involves monitoring equipment, maintaining ink balance, and coordinating with team leaders to meet production specifications.

Applicants should have basic computer skills, strong verbal and written communication, and relevant warehouse or press experience. A retention bonus is available and benefits are offered from day one.

Responsibilities

• Operate Advent machine and other bindery equipment.
• Perform set-up of press, monitor equipment, manage supplies and packing.
• Ensure ink density, water balance, color matching meet job requirements.
• Resolve production issues by adjusting process and coordinating with the Team Manager.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm ET $2000 Retention Bonus Operates moderately complex post-press equipment of intermediate to advanced difficulty. Typically requires preventive maintenance functions to be performed. Likely to utilize basic to intermediate computer systems in the completion of duties. Equipment operators at this level typically process multiple product types.

• General Bindery Operator duties include Advent Machine operation, Cutting, Handwork, 3 hole drilling, and packing.
• Perform a complete set-up of the press in an efficient manner, which may include: monitor/maintain equipment, a stock area with supplies, check order shipments, stamp and proofread customer orders and generate labels.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press productively while, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Resolve production issues by altering process to meet additional specifications and notify Team Manager to obtain additional information or resources as required.

Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Education and Experience: HS/GED and 3 years of warehouse experience. 1 year of plating experience. Strong PC knowledge. Strong attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50 hourly. This position will be eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
