Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a press operator in New Jersey to run sheet fed and digital presses, ensuring quality and timely production. You will load stock, set up presses, adjust ink and water balance, and operate bindery equipment as part of a collaborative team.

You will follow SOPs, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and perform routine maintenance to keep systems running smoothly. The role requires basic math, reading, and computer skills, with the potential for benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• HS/GED with 1 year printing experience with similar equipment.
• Familiar with printing process, ink usage and basic math.
• Mechanical ability to operate and maintain press; basic reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and load press equipment including sheet fed, digital presses and bindery devices.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure quality and meet daily production goals.
• Set up press, load stock, manage ink density and color matching; perform basic changeovers.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance on presses.

Hours: Monday through Friday 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

Responsible for running various equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and shipping a quality product to the customer. Tasks will include running sheet fed, digital presses, bindery equipment, other processing equipment, and shipping/packing. Associates are responsible for following standard operating procedures and processes to ensure quality of the orders produced, while working in a team environment to achieve daily goals.Runs mostly standard work and basic manual numbering may be required. Automated or basic setups and changeovers may be required.

• Performsset-up ofpress includingidentifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, mounting plates, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water levels, assuring accurate single-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, thermo unit, etc.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press productively while, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.

• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability tomake adjustments tothe equipment including blanket changes, wash up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and cleaning to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understand all press controls and demonstrate their use.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

HS/GED with1 yearprinting experience with similar equipment.

Familiar with product, equipment, printing process, and ink usage.

Mechanical ability to operate and maintain press. Basic math, reading and computer skills.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50 hourly. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
