Job summary

Abbott, based in Burlington, MA, is seeking a Supervisor for Complaint Handling within the Heart Failure Division. You will supervise the Complaint Handling Group, assign weekly caseloads, coach staff, and conduct performance evaluations to meet quality and efficiency metrics.

You will oversee resources, monitor complaint evaluation quality, and drive process improvements across the department while collaborating with internal and external regulatory stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• 4+ years of related work experience, including complaint investigations in a regulated environment.
• Must be able to lead and manage a large staff of non-exempt employees.
• Excellent communication skills due to frequent cross-functional interactions.
• Must be able to act autonomously and guide forwarding of complaints for documentation or processing.

Responsibilities

• Gather and prepare trend information to identify focus areas.
• Set standards, monitor staff performance, write appraisals and determine merit increases.
• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Interact with operations and cross-functional groups; respond to regulatory inquiries.
• Lead problem-solving to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor metrics and communicate quality and investigation documentation.
