Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an APP (NP/PA) to join the Post Heart Transplant outpatient team at the Fairfax Medical Campus. Five 8-hour shifts Monday–Friday, no weekend requirement, with rotating on-call duties. APP experience preferred; prior transplant/cardiology experience preferred.

The role involves frontline collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, day-shift coverage, and a 12-week onboarding period to ensure competency in outpatient transplant care.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider required with expiration >90 days from start.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide outpatient care at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.
Provide day-shift coverage with no weekend requirements.
Handle rotating on-call duties for patient communication 24/7.
Deliver outpatient coverage at the Post Heart Transplant Clinic.
Complete 12 weeks onboarding and orientation.
