Overview
The Younger Lab is actively searching for a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to join our team. Active areas of research include, but are not limited to, the experimental validation of candidate pathogenic variants identified in undiagnosed rare disease patients as well as the generation of patient-derived cellular models for precision medicine applications.
Applicants must have completed a PhD in molecular biology, genetics, or a related field. Experience working with mammalian cell culture is required. Candidates that have hands-on experience working with stem cell models are highly encouraged to apply.
The Younger Lab is affiliated with the new Children's Mercy Research Institute at Children's Mercy Kansas City, the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

Responsibilities
Experience in basic molecular biology including RNA and DNA isolation
Experience in mammalian cell culture
Experience in application of statistical methods to the analysis of large-scale genetic/genomics data
A firm grounding in statistical and computational methods relevant to the analysis of NGS data
Preferable knowledge of other relevant subjects related to the project including epigenetics, and genetic engineering
Qualifications
