University of Georgia is seeking a Post Doctoral Research Associate in Atom Probe Tomography within Geo-materials. The role involves running the APT lab for diverse academic and industry users and pursuing independent research initiatives.

This position will be responsible for setting up and running an Atom Probe Tomography laboratory. This includes conducting independent research, collaborative research projects, and industry contract work. Person would be expected to co-advise PhD and MSc projects, train users in Atom Probe Tomography data reduction, attract industry work, and keep the instrument operational.
PhD in Geo- or Materials-Science with a minimum of 4 years working experience with Atom Probe Tomography of insulating materials, including sample preparation and data reduction. Experience writing programs for APT data reduction is a strong preference, as well as someone who has experience with instrument design and maintenance.
Should have good interpersonal skills, both working in and leading groups.
