The postdoctoral scholar will design, lead and conduct studies related to analyzing the effects of long-term effects of exoskeleton use on individual preferences, movement strategies and biomechanics. They will interpret these responses to develop guidelines for the industrial application of exoskeletons to diverse use-cases in manufacturing, healthcare, and construction. The postdoc will need to be competent in biomechanics, human factors, ergonomics; be well-versed in quantitative biomechanical measurement systems including 3D motion capture, electromyography, force and balance measurements and analysis; and perform relevant numerical analysis on Matlab and Labview. The postdoc will participate in mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students, prepare grant proposals, coordinate with collaborators, and disseminate research findings through routine scientific oral and written communication channels.
