Job description

Position Description:

A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiang-Yang Wang in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics and the VCU Institute of Molecular Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine. The focus of this position will be to study the role of innate pattern recognition receptors and stress proteins/response in inflammation, cancer immunity, and immunotherapy.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Highly-motivated candidates with a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D in immunology, molecular and cellular biology, or a closely related field are appropriate to apply.
  2. Applicants should possess strong laboratory, analytical, interpersonal, and independent working skills.
  3. SOM requires demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion or a commitment to do so as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Candidates with previous experience with mouse modeling/handling and flow cytometry are highly desirable.

This is a restricted position with no set end date and continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.
