Job description

Position Summary

Successful completion of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Community Practice Fellowship will enable the fellow to become a future faculty member who will be able to lead a successful practice-based research program. The fellowship focuses on the trifold mission of pharmacy faculty – teaching, service, and scholarship. As such, the program will provide the fellow with a solid foundation to begin a productive career in academic pharmacy.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

The candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency, a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care, or have equivalent practice experience. The candidate should also be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
  • Demonstrate an interest in community pharmacy and academic practice and have an understanding of emerging trends in community pharmacy practice.
  • Demonstrate project management experience.
  • Demonstrate experience leading or engaging in complex collaborative efforts to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Critical thinking and challenge the status quo to arrive at solutions with the greatest potential for impact.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
  • Complete work to the highest academic standards.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities and activities.
