Job summary

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in medicinal chemistry to design and execute experiments focused on synthesizing biologically relevant molecules. You will perform literature searches and maintain accurate laboratory records, including electronic notebooks when required.

You will also prepare weekly research reports, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to group meetings while assisting in the preparation, writing, and submission of research reports

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in synthetic organic chemistry preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate lab records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments for synthesis of biologically relevant molecules.
• Perform literature searches to inform research directions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records (electronic notebooks where required).
• Prepare weekly research reports and other assigned reports.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and maintain spaces and equipment.
• Participate in group meetings, seminars, and problem-solving sessions.
• Assist in preparation, writing, and submission of research reports and publications.
