Job summary

University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill is seeking a Post-Doc Research Associate to conduct independent and collaborative research in medicinal chemistry within the Wang Lab. Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments aimed at synthesizing biologically relevant molecules.

• Prepare weekly research reports and other assigned reports.

Position Summary The postdoctoral researcher will conduct independent and collaborative research in medicinal chemistry, with primary responsibility for designing and executing experiments aimed at the synthesis of biologically relevant molecules. This includes performing literature searches; maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records, including electronic notebooks when required; preparing weekly research reports and other reports as assigned; adhering to and staying current with all laboratory safety protocols; and contributing to the cleaning, organization, and maintenance of laboratory spaces and equipment. The postdoc will also actively participate in scientific group meetings, departmental seminars, and problem solving sessions, and will assist in the preparation, writing, and submission of research reports and publications.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry, or related field of study.
